Gaynor Brown

I am an experienced professional practitioner and offer counselling, psychotherapy and consultative supervision. I am an Accredited member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and work within the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. This means I am committed to working to professional standards, ethics and good practice. I am passionate about my work and strive to alleviate personal distress and promote and enhance an individual’s wellbeing and self-worth.

I have considerable experience of working with clients with anxiety, stress, panic disorder, depression, low self-esteem, low confidence, relationship issues, significant life changes, bereavement, loss and work related issues.

I have extensive experience of counselling professionals in an NHS employee wellbeing service. I also have experience of counselling clients in a GP practice and counselling University students.   I offer both brief and longer term therapy and we can talk this through together when we first meet.

I started my counselling career 10 years ago. Prior to this I was a Registered General Nurse and had a varied and very interesting career alongside raising a family.
